Shotover Canyon Swing, Queenstown

Waikato River Explorer

Waikato River Explorer operates scenic cruises, ferry runs and charter cruises from both Hamilton Gardens and Mystery Creek Events Centre. The company’s current vessel is a 47-foot, 54-seat fully-licensed ferry, which has all weather side covers. In saying this, the river is always calm with the scenery only metres away from you at all times.

The scheduled Scenic Cruises run from Hamilton Gardens at 11:00am & 12:45pm Wed – Sun each week, with additional cruises at 2:00pm and 4:00pm on weekends during Daylight Saving months.

Cruises run for approximately 90-minutes with the 11:00am and 2:00pm weekend cruises being destination runs to Mystery Creek for transfers to the restaurants and wineries in the area.
