PolicyTech Emails: Not a Phishing ScamPolicyTech is the software housing all our policies and procedures. When you are assigned a task in PolicyTech, you may receive an email from donotreply@policytech.com sent on behalf of our vendor noreply@navexglobal.com. Because it's a vendor, the email is automatically flagged as coming from an “external sender.” However, these are legitimate emails and not phishing scams. Note: If you accidentally reported it as a phishing email the assigned
PolicyTech task will show up on your task list when you log into the system. Thank you for being cautious when receiving emails from external senders. If you are ever unsure whether to click a link, copy and paste it in a new browser window instead of clicking it directly. This particular email asks you to click a link that prompts you on next steps. Here's an example of the email:

Tips for Creating a Strong PasswordA short, easy-to-remember password is simpler, but it can also pose a serious threat to your online security. Although most websites today are secure, there's still a chance they can get hacked and your information stolen. A strong password is one of the best ways to protect yourself. Here are some tips on creating a strong password:
- Never use personal information such as your name, birthday or email address. This information is often publicly available, making it easier for someone to guess your password.
- Use a long password. Your password should be at least ten characters long.
- Don't use the same password for each account. If someone discovers your password for one account, all of your other accounts become vulnerable.
- Include a combination of numbers, symbols and
uppercase and lowercase letters.
- Make sure you protect your password by adding two-factor authentication to your account, if possible.
For Front Desk, Scheduling and Registration Staff, or Anyone Completing Medical Necessity Checks and ABN Workflows
New Manual ABN Process
Effective Monday, June 28On Monday, June 28, a new manual Advanced Beneficiary Notice of Non-Coverage (ABN) process goes into effect for some hospital outpatient departments and surgical outpatient services. The previous medical necessity tool, Recondo, is being replaced with a new tool, nThrive, that does not generate an ABN. This requires you to manually create an ABN in Epic for services not covered by Medicare. Review this tip sheet for instructions.

Occupation Field Now Open
