IEEE-ISTO Announces 2013 Board of Directors
IEEE Industry Standards and Technology Organization (IEEE-ISTO), a federation of leading industry groups and consortia dedicated to the advancement of standardized technologies for the benefit of industry, recently announced its 2013 Board of Directors, which includes two new additions. Allan Foster, VP Community, ForgeRock, and Michael Violette, President of Washington Laboratories and Director of American Certification Body, were newly elected to serve on the Board.
The IEEE-ISTO Board of Directors oversees the governance, financial, and strategic aspects of the organization, including the IEEE-ISTO budget, the IEEE-ISTO Business Plan, and the IEEE-ISTO Marketing Plan. Directors also serve to promote the benefits of industry and government organizations partnering with IEEE-ISTO.

Register Today for the ICAP Conference on Conformity Assessment
Originally planned for 1-2 November 2012, the IEEE Conformity Assessment Program (ICAP) Conference on Conformity Assessment has been rescheduled for April 2013.
When: 10-11 April 2013
Where: IEEE, 445 Hoes Lane, Piscataway, NJ
The 2nd ICAP Conference on Conformity Assessment will provide attendees with a forum for discussion and presentations that will address the growing importance conformity assessment plays in today’s evolving market place. Keynoted by Gordon Gillerman, Chief, Standards Services Division, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), the conference will demonstrate how conformity assessment can further strengthen the standard development process.
The registration fee for the full conference is $100. Early registration prior to 31 March 2013 will qualify for a 50% registration fee discount ($50). The registration fee includes all breaks, meals, and an evening reception on 10 April 2013. IEEE members with membership in good standing will qualify for the 50% discount through the date of the conference.

Program Profile Series - Interconnect Modeling Technical Advisory Board
To further advance interoperability in the industry, Synopsys is sponsoring an Interconnect Modeling Technical Advisory Board (IMTAB) with broad industry participation to shepherd the development of its ITF format as an interoperable interconnect parasitic modeling format. IMTAB will develop, review and vote on extensions to the ITF format that are seen as beneficial to the industry.
