Tasting Notes: A blend of Sangiovese and Merlot, Albia Rosé is a soft pink colour and shows intense notes of red berry fruit and soft violets with a crisp, mineral-driven palate. It’s the mother of all Rosé wines!

Terroir/Region: The Tuscan climate has a legendary reputation for sunny days perfect for ripening fruit and cool evenings for maintaining the fresh, balanced acidity in its wines. The 2017 growing season was extremely hot and dry until mid-August when light rains brought some relief to the vines before a sunny Autumn. These conditions have built up intense fruit flavours in the finished wines while keeping refreshing acidity, a perfect combination for making Rosé wine.
Producer: The Ricasoli family has a long, near ancient, history in Tuscany dating back to the 7th century AD (that’s a lot of mothers), however, it has taken a modern stance with Rosé. Using controlled fermentation temperatures and stainless steel tanks, it has crafted a light, fruity wine with a pale pink colour which shows its quality through persistent flavours and a long finish.
