We all love to take pictures with our smartphones and share it with our friends and family. So we were thrilled to hear about a hugely popular app from Japan, My Heart Camera. It has soared to the top of the charts to become the #1 photo app in the Japan, Hong-Kong, Taiwan iTunes App Stores. My Heart Camera picks up on the fun of decorating photos with a theme of love and hearts. Perfect for romantics, My Heart Camera comes stocked with tons of graphics and text to sweeten your shot. To make those images appear straight from the heart, Ryo Kawanobe and the My Heart Camera team used the proximity sensor plugin to make images 'magically' appear when the user’s phone comes close to a surface. Put your phone to your heart and…viola! Without direct contact, images appear as if jumping from your heart to your screen. "The culture of "Deco" (photo-decoration) is a big part of Japanese youth culture. With that in mind, we decided to create a photo editing app witha simple heart theme. We added an auto-decoration function that is amazing and heart warming to this app," said Ryo Kawanobe. "As we are web developers, we choose PhoneGap because we wanted the flexibility to release on both iOS and Android while also being able to easily access plugins." PhoneGap Day EU and PhoneGap Day BR
