The next six weeks will set the tone for the next year of legal weed in New Jersey. The state legislature is out for the summer, and its members left without touching a bill that would have extended the deadline for municipalities to act on cannabis New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy has signed into law a bill that allows healthcare providers to prescribe medical marijuana via telehealth. Following in the footsteps of New Jersey and New York, Connecticut became the most recent state in the Northeast to legalize recreational use of marijuana. People with alcohol use disorder are often seen in clinics and hospitals, but medical professionals too often ignore the condition. The extraordinary effort to combat and end the COVID pandemic included a massive public information drive to educate and inform people about the disease and how to protect against it.
