Tasting Notes: This crowd-pleasing Pinot Grigio really hits the mark with its easy-drinking, approachable style. On the nose you’ll find pleasing apple blossom, peach and citrus aromas that are fresh and clean. The palate is medium-weight, bright and crisp with flavours of granny smith apples, ripe melon and peach which are all kept in balance by mouthwatering citrus-like acidity.

Terroir/Region: The winery is located in the appellation of Lake Erie North Shore in Essex County in the southwestern part of the province. The VQA Ontario appellation ensures that 100% of the grapes are grown in Ontario. It also allows wineries to purchase grapes from other regions to supplement their wine needs. Sprucewood blends their own estate fruit with top quality grapes from other growers.
Producer: Sprucewood Shores Estate Winery is owned and operated by members of the Mitchell family, who purchased the property more than 40 years ago. Vines were planted in the early nineties. Construction on the winery began in 2003 and officially opened for business in 2006. Today, the second generation of the Mitchell family looks after every aspect of the estate’s operation.
