Welcome back to the Balwyn Community Centre! We hope you all had a happy and healthy Christmas and New Year period. Term 1 started this week and we're looking forward to introducing a few new courses, including Beginner language classes, Life drawing, Social Watercolour and Zumba! We're ready to kick off an amazing year of learning and look forward to you joining us!

December Art Show

Gordon's Painting for Pleasure and Drawing classes put on an amazing end of year art show in December. The new Art room pin board was filled with a great selection of students' works, highlighting their progress and creativity.

Well done to all the students for their efforts - the showcase was a wonderful way to end the year!

The secret to aging well....

In case you needed another reason to join one of our amazing classes, a recent Yale study has shown that having a community, like the one you get by participating in an art class (at Balwyn CC of course!), is key to living a longer life (7.5 years longer to be exact!)
