The high standard of education delivered at Braywick Court School has not gone unnoticed within the Local Authority. This year's Squirrel Class teacher, Lindsay O’Connell, has been asked to be a lead teacher for Early Years for the borough and the school has already spent time supporting other local schools.
It is highly unusual for any school to be viewed as strong enough to be asked to do this, and quite possibly unique to be asked within the first three months of becoming established!
We have significantly expanded our staff team ready for the next academic year. Braywick Court School is proving as popular with staff as it is with families and we interviewed some fantastic candidates for the jobs we advertised.
We are thrilled that Miss O’Connell will be returning part time after her maternity leave to teach Squirrel Class (Reception) alongside Miss Tess Hooker, whose qualifications and impressive track record mean that the same high standards of teaching and achievement of pupils are set to continue.
Our Year 1 Robin Class will be taught by our Head of Literacy, Mrs Sandhar, whose expertise in developing our exciting and skills-based phonics, writing and reading curriculum have clearly made a huge contribution to the incredible progress made by this year’s Squirrel Class.
In addition, we have on board a fantastic team to support our teachers in delivering the highest quality of education to each of our pupils.
