Phonegap 1.7 released and PhoneGap Build support

Do you have the latest version of PhoneGap? We released PhoneGap 1.7.0 earlier this month. This release focuses on bug fixes, bug fixes and...you guessed it, more bug fixes. We also added support for Bada 2.0. Download PhoneGap 1.7.

PhoneGap Build also supports the latest release too! Not familiar with Build? It's our handy service that lets you quickly and easily build mobile apps in the cloud without downloading SDKs, compilers or hardware. PhoneGap Build is in open public beta, so sign up!

Featured PhoneGap app: Hockey Community

The PhoneGap team is originally from Vancouver, BC and it's no secret that we love our hockey (Go Canucks!). So we were stoked to see our favourite sport come alive in the new PhoneGap app, Hockey Community.

Hockey Community's goal is to make hockey more social and accessible around the world. They help anyone in the hockey industry connect with players, rinks, games and more.

Why did they choose PhoneGap? "PhoneGap has pushed us to learn and embrace HTML5 at its best, " said Alex Toulemonde, Co-Founder of Hockey Community. "Today we're able to work on one source code for one iPhone app, one iPad app, our mobile site and soon an Android app. Read more about how PhoneGap helped Hockey Community get started.
