Key and Preliminary Updates: All you need to know

The British Council’s seminar presenters trained by Cambridge Assessment English will be presenting these key updates, making sure that teachers are equipped to prepare their students for these new changes.

All seminars start at 09.30 and finish at 12.30. Please note that a fee of 20 Euro (non-refundable) is needed to confirm your registration. 

Webinar for teachers by Cambridge Assessment English, in collaboration with British Council, exclusively for Addvantage members.

After each webinar we will send you an email with a certificate of attendance, useful links and a link to view the recording.

Our Future 2019 is the biggest English exams competition for school-age learners in Europe.

In order to participate in the British Council’s Our Future competition you need to be a member of our Addvantage membership scheme.

Going Global is a conference for leaders in international education to debate the future of further and higher education.

If you are a university or college vice-chancellor, president or principal, an adviser, minister or government representative, journalist or policy and strategy maker, or a professional and trade body working in international education, then we look forward to seeing you there.

The Competition is an opportunity for all young Commonwealth citizens and residents, regardless of region, education or background, to share ideas, celebrate their story and have their voice heard - all whilst developing key skills. For 2019, we want to hear from more young people across the Commonwealth, all stories and voices are important.

The competition is open to all citizens and residents of the Commonwealth aged 18 and under and runs until 1 June 2019.

All entrants receive a Certificate of Participation and one Winner and Runner-up from the Senior and Junior categories will win a trip to London for a week of educational and cultural events.

A free six-week online course (Started 25 March 2019)

This free online course is for people who are learning English and interested in the language and legacy of William Shakespeare. This course will look at the life and works of William Shakespeare and at five of Shakespeare’s plays.

The material is designed for non-native English speakers who have studied English to around intermediate level (approximately B1 on the CEFR).

To mark the 30th anniversary of the web, the British Council will be leading and supporting digital cultural projects and programmes around the world.

Artists’ Moving Image from the British Council Collection and LUX

In a series of five artists’ film programmes inclusive of compilations and installations, some of the UK’s most outstanding emerging and established artists disrupt old narratives and encourage new global discussions.

We want to collaborate with global curators and cultural programmers to deliver a programme that will resonate with their audiences.

Online Registration for Cambridge English Qualifications June 2019

The last day to register for Cambridge English Qualifications June 2019 is Monday, 15 April 2019.

Prior to registering for a Cambridge English Qualifications exam, please go through our registration manual which explains the whole registration procedure.

Important notes

• Without a Cash In code candidates will not receive an overall grade and a certificate for the subject. Failure to Cash In during the registration period will be subject to a late fee.
   
• Pearson new specifications for the IAL, GCE and International GCSE exams. Information can be found here.

Art Seen is delighted to announce the group exhibition ‘Attempts to Escape’ opening on the 27th of March 2019.

The exhibition is curated by Maria Stathi and will continue until the 10th of May 2019.
