There's so much going on at TRNZ at the moment, we needed to bring you a bit of a mini update of sorts (additional to the regular emails). To keep you all informed on the recent happenings.

The last two months has involved extensive travel to South America and the USA for the Tourism Results team. It's been very busy, but so fantastic to see how well our products are being received in these markets.

Footprints Waipoua - an experience you won't want to miss

Meet Tane by Day: Duration 40 mins - Designed to make your trip to the area a more memorable & educational experience.

Meet Tane by Night: Duration 1.5hrs - A shortened version of the twilight encounter for those with less time but still allows viewing of the largest girth of Kauri tree in the world.

Daylight Encounter: Duration 3.5 hrs - The highlight of the tour is meeting Tane Mahuta 2-2,500year old Kauri Tree.

Experience the affinity that early Maori had with the forest and the deep spiritual respect they hold for the giants still growing here.

Your Maori guides will relate stories, myths and legends of the forest, of its gods, and other spiritual inhabitants. They will greet the giant trees with spine-tingling waiata (sacred chants).

Twilight Encounter: Duration 4 hrs - Stepping into our special world, you will be walking under the same stars that guided our ancestor Kupe from legendary Hawaiiki to New Zealand.

Nugget Point Hotel

Distinction Hotel Coming to Christchurch

Distinction Hotels is excited to announce the newest addition to its New Zealand owned and operated hotels – Distinction Christchurch Hotel, which will open in late 2017.

Work is underway on the repair and refurbishment of the 14 storey building which will be rebranded to Distinction Christchurch Hotel.

The 4.5 star hotel is centrally located in the revitalised Cathedral Square and ideally positioned only a few minutes’ walk from the brand new Christchurch Convention Centre.

The luxury Christchurch hotel will consist of 180 elegant, air-conditioned suites and studios to suit everyone from business travellers requiring spacious, contemporary accommodation with the latest technology to those travellers seeking a place to relax and unwind after a day exploring Canterbury’s vibrant attractions.
