This Week's Conservative Wins in Texas

📅 Week of April 14

Texas Republicans just delivered the largest education funding package in state history — including billions for public schools, historic teacher pay raises, and a universal school choice program that puts parents in charge.

It’s a win for students, teachers, families, and the future of Texas.

And that’s not all: the Texas House passed a conservative, fiscally responsible budget; a Trump-inspired government efficiency bill is headed to the governor’s desk; and lawmakers continue advancing legislation to protect Texas land, values, and tax dollars.

From all of us, have a joyful and blessed Easter.

The Main Story – Texas Delivers a Historic Win on Education, President Trump Celebrates

The Texas House just passed the largest school choice bill in American history—and the biggest investment in public education the state has ever made. And President Trump is celebrating it.

Together, House Bill 2 and Senate Bill 2 (the “Texas Two Step”) mark a once-in-a-generation win for students, parents, and teachers. The new universal school choice program gives families the freedom to choose the best education for their kids. At the same time, public schools will see $7.7 billion in new, targeted funding, higher teacher pay, and stronger support for classrooms, not bureaucracy.

President Trump praised the move as a “gigantic Victory,” Governor Abbott said Texas is on the way to becoming "the best state in America for educating our kids," and Speaker Burrows called it a "historic chapter" for Texas families.

Texas is leading the way—and the nation is watching.
