Church Chuckles

A little boy was attending his first wedding.  After the service, his cousin asked him, “How many women can a man marry?”  “Sixteen,” the boy responded.  His cousin was amazed that had an answer so quickly.  “How do you know that?” he asked.  “Easy,” the little boy said, “all you have to do is add it up, like the pastor said: four better, four worse, and four richer, four poorer.”

Church Accountability: The Ins and Outs of Short Term Mission Trips

My son Billy had a passion for the country of Russia and wanted to go on a mission trip.  He found a nonprofit organization through our denomination that sponsors youth mission trips.  Billy wrote his own support letter to encourage family and friends to donate to his mission trip.  In doing so some of the donors wrote checks directly to Billy instead of the nonprofit organization.  Are these tax deductible?

Personal Tax: Education Credits - Don't Let the IRS Keep Your Money
