The service is an opportunity for women clergy, their male colleagues, parish members and families to celebrate and give thanks for the 30 years of priestly calling of women in our diocese. If you are able to attend, please book your place before Tuesday 9 September. The annual Explore Day is an informal occasion for those who feel God may be calling them to serve in the church. It is open to anyone and is designed to give a snapshot of the breadth of ways in which it is possible to contribute and minister within the Diocese and wider Church, as well as serving our communities. Over a weekend in July, members of the Earls Barton community got together to celebrate beautiful butterflies. Themed crafts, activities and cakes were on offer along with the opportunity to take part in some butterfly spotting and recording of findings as part of the national Big Butterfly Count. Earlier this year St Botolph's Church, Barton Seagrave made a successful application for a Gen2 grant allowing them to make improvements to their children and youth work provision by purchasing new equipment. An archaeological excavation at St Peter's, Marefair, Northampton was held in July as part of the on-going refurbishments of the adjacent Old Black Lion Inn. The excavations revealed a multitude of finds, some which were to be expected and others which proved rather surprising.
