You will also hear from one Shout Out speaker, talking on a topic passionate to them.

Finally we will host a policy session focused on getting your input into YACWA's pre-budget submission on refugee and migrant young people. This document will provide details to the government about your opinions as to what the priority areas for funding are in next years budget.

Shout Out speakers talk to students

Fourteen of our inspiring group of Shout Out and Catalyst young people went to Methodist Ladies College last week to present to and talk with a group of  70 year six students.

The students also interviewed the young people to learn more about the personal experiences of people with refugee and migrant backgrounds.

The school said it was invaluable for the girls to listen and learn first hand rather than from a book and what they hear in the media.

NYSF Training in WA a great success!

Great feedback has been received from the 26 participants who attended WA's first National Youth Settlement Framework training. The one and a half day training was extremely infomative. Attendees networked and discussed how they would implement the framework in their workplace.

If you missed out on this training, we will be running one again early next year. Also, we can customise training for your workplace. For more information about this, email myanwa@yacwa.org.au.

You can view this short clip on WTV's Undercurrent to see their coverage of the training!
