Most excitingly of all, we held our inaugural Assembly House Food Festival, with sold-out events including film shows, cooking demonstrations, guest chef dinners, a themed afternoon tea, which ended with an excellent night spent in the company of MasterChef judge and Britain’s most famous food critic, Jay Rayner, who presented his Ten ( Food ) Commandments show. How are we going to top that?! Well, we’ve got some pretty exciting plans! Check out the 2019 Richard Hughes Cookery School brochure which features tonnes more classes, a host of guest teachers including Benedicts’ Richard Bainbridge, former head of Norwich Hotel School Steve Thorpe, UK Chocolate Ambassador Gary Hunter and Great British Bake Off’s Kate Barmby. STOP PRESS!The Assembly House and The Richard Hughes Cookery School have been nominated for three awards in the forthcoming Norfolk & Suffolk Tourism Awards, including Best Food and Drink attraction. Keep your fingers crossed and THANK YOU! We couldn’t do any of it without you. Richard Hughes Cookery School, The Assembly House, Theatre Street, Norwich, Norfolk, NR2 1RQ |
