Toys for Tots Drive
Please join OVS in supporting the U.S. Marine Reserve Toys for Tots program! The mission is to collect new, unwrapped toys during December and distribute those toys to less fortunate children in the community. If you would like to participate, please bring new and unwrapped toys to the OVS office by Friday, December 18.

CGS-SG Dates and Reminders
CGS Student Government - The first Spring meeting will be held on Friday, January 15 at 5:30 p.m. in the McCarl Center lounge. All CGS students are welcomed to attend. Please contact CGSSG@pitt.edu to RSVP.
ASL (Alpha Sigma Lambda) - New members will be inducted on Friday, January 22 at 6 p.m. in the PAA. Eligible students will be mailed invitations this term. Current members are encouraged to apply for the position of ASL President.
LAE (Lambda Alpha Epsilon) - Information sessions will be held in February and March. All Administration of Justice and Legal Studies majors/minors are encouraged to attend to learn more about the organization and the benefits of membership. Current AJ and LS majors/minors will be emailed more details at the beginning of the Spring term.
Student Ambassadors - All new external transfer students have been assigned a Student Ambassador, who is an experienced CGS student interested in helping new CGS students make a successful transition into Pitt. Student Ambassadors will email their students at the beginning of the Spring term.
Student Activities Fair - Pitt’s Office of First Year Experience and Office of Student Life will host the Student Activities Fair on Thursday, January 7 from 3-5 p.m. in the O'Hara Student Center. Stop by to meet current members from all CGS student groups and learn more about their organizations!
If you have any questions about the above organizations and how to get involved, please email Adam Robinson. Adam is the new Director of the McCarl Center for Nontraditional Student Success and would love to meet with you to talk about all the ways you can be active in the CGS community.

The College of General Studies and McCarl Center for Nontraditional Student Success are open late to better serve our students.

Special Holiday Hours:
CGS will be closed over the University's Winter Recess beginning on Thursday, December 24, 2015. Our normal hours of operation will resume on Monday, January 4, 2016.
