ISTO Board Election

2021 Results Announced

 The IEEE Industry Standards and Technology Organization (ISTO) announces annual director elections results: three incumbent Directors were re-elected for two-year terms beginning 1 January 2021: Daniel C. Burnett, Brian K. Daly, and Forrest D. Wright.

The ISTO Board of Directors oversees the financial operations of the organization, as well as the development of the ISTO Business Plan and related strategic activities.

“We would like to thank our re-elected Board Members for their continued support and commitment to ISTO,” said Yatin Trivedi, chairman of the Board of Directors, ISTO. “ISTO is well positioned to partner with the global technology community to help grow adoption of emerging technologies and expand collaboration and innovation with new consortia.”

New MIPI White Paper Focuses on Compression for Automotive Displays

MIPI Alliance has released a new white paper, Validating the Use of Compression for Automotive Displays, which examines the impact of automotive trends on display requirements and shares the results of a recent image compression study conducted by the MIPI Display Working Group.

MIPI CCS Tools Simplify Sensor Integration

Released by the MIPI Software and Camera working groups, the publicly available MIPI CCS Tools helps hardware engineers, programmers and testers take advantage of CCS static data without writing their own tools or debugging multiple implementations. CCS static data is the standardized method in MIPI Camera Command Set (MIPI CCS℠) v1.1 for describing a sensor's limits and capabilities outside of hardware.
