2016 Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of The Australian Sociological Association will be held on Tuesday the 29th November, 2016, at 5:15pm – 6:30pm in the Cathedral Hall, The Australian Catholic University, Fitzroy, Melbourne. The following business will be conducted:

1. President’s Welcome and Overview
2. Apologies
3. Business Arising
4. Acceptance of 2015 minutes
5. TASA Treasurer presentation of Financial Statements
6. Questions on matters in the 2016 Annual Report
7. Call for nominations for the Public Engagement Portfolio Leader 
8. Journal of Sociology - incoming editors: introductions
9. 2017 - 2018 Executive Committee
10. Other Business

If you would like something included on the agenda, please forward the details to Sally Daly in the TASA Office by Monday November 14, 2016. Please note that paper copies of documents will not be provided at the AGM. Members will receive the 2016 Annual Report and the final AGM agenda, electronically, prior to the meeting.

As you are probably aware, TASA did not receive any nominations, in the recent election, for the Public Engagement Portfolio position. If you are interested in taking up this position on the Executive, for the 2017-2018 term, please submit your Expression of Interest, to Sally Daly in the TASA Office, by Monday 14 November, 2016.
