Happy Spring! This is what we have all been waiting for: 70 degree weather! What got me through winter was the thought of walking on the beach at Lake Michigan and now it is actually going to happen! What got you through the winter? We all have so much to look forward to this spring. Here are a several new exciting things we are looking forward too and would like to share with you!
We are so happy to introduce to you our newest stylist, Kate Akins. Kate is moving back to the Kalamazoo and is excited to be working downtown and joining Suzanne’s Organics Salon with our vision: to merge the artistic, creative world of beauty with an emphasis on health and wellness.
Kate has spent three years in the industry, receiving her license from Empire Beauty Academy in Kalamazoo and continuing to grow her skill set with advanced education from Vidal Sassoon, Rusk, and Redken. Kate has an artistic and creative eye and particularly enjoys applying color using hand-painting techniques that give a soft natural appearance. Kate loves creating personalized looks for each guest that complement and enhance his or her features. She is passionate about holistic health and wellness, as well as the beauty industry; integrating these passions inspires her work. She plans on furthering her artistic skill set by continuing advanced education courses at Vidal Sassoon and training with the team at Suzanne’s Organics. In her spare time, Kate enjoys painting, drawing, listening to music, practicing yoga, traveling, and spending time with her boyfriend, friends, and family. She loves her two small dogs, Betty and Lulu, and her kitty, Silas.
