Wine of the Weekend

Mirabeau Pure Rosé 2020, Cotes-de-Provence

As the final long weekend of the summer months approaches, we think it’s time for a final summer splurge – on Rosé of course. Mirabeau Pure Rosé 2020 is an easy one to fit into your long-weekend plans: whether you pop it into your picnic basket or pull it out on the patio, Pure is ready to refresh and impress!

Tasting Notes: A blend of Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault, Mirabeau Pure delivers delicious flavours of citrus, juicy red summer fruits with a mouthfeel that is polished and crisp.

Enjoy With: Canapés and appetizers, Asian cuisine, grilled light meats and seafood. It’s also the ultimate apéritif wine.

Style: An extra-dry, medium-bodied rosé wine.

Terroir/Region: Cotes-de-Provence, France is renowned for its rosé wines and Mirabeau is one of the reasons why. As one of the driest, sunniest regions in France, many vineyard diseases are less of a concern, making sustainable grape growing easier, Mirabeau included. Rosé makes up 6 of every 10 bottles from the region, but as widespread as it is, you don’t know rosé until you have tasted Mirabeau.

Producer: Stephen and Jeany Cronk had a serious passion for rosé, so much so that they packed up their family, left London (UK), and headed to Provence to start making it. Their mission was to make world-class rosé, and since their founding in 2010, they have garnered some of the highest awards in wine, held leadership roles in the region’s industry, and opened Domaine Mirabeau, their estate winery.

Availability: Mirabeau Pure Cotes-de-Provence Rosé 2020 will be available in the Vintages section of your local LCBO store on September 4, but a few stores may already have it on the shelf.
