NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION
If you have an on-campus housing assignment, please move into your residence hall on Tuesday, August 29, 2023. Mandatory orientation sessions start Wednesday, August 30th at 8:30AM. The first few days of New Student Orientation (NSO) are specially designed for international students. Then you will join new American students for the rest of NSO. Attendance at New Student Orientation is required for all new students.
Applying for housing, registering for classes - there are a lot of things to take care of before the start of the semester!

If this is your first time studying in the U.S., you will need to apply for a student visa at a U.S. embassy. It may take several weeks from when you start applying to when you receive your new visa, so please allow yourself plenty of time.
Your PLU Gmail account is a very important tool and is used as a primary source of communication within the PLU community. Make sure to check your PLU email at least once a week. If you don’t want to use your PLU email just yet, it’s easy to forward incoming emails to another email address.

International Peer Advisors (IPAs) are current PLU students. They were just like you, coming here as international students or American students working hard to become a part of the community within the university. All the IPAs are looking forward to meeting you and assisting you through the first week at PLU!
