Make the World Brighter in 2016

Because of support from friends like you in 2015, we've been able to help nearly 45,000 families and medical professionals over the past year by doing the following:

  1. Published Welcoming a Newborn with Down Syndrome free online for new parents just beginning their journey.
  2. Shared Welcoming a Newborn with Down Syndrome in Spanish for free online to help improve support for often under-served families.
  3. Updated Diagnosis to Delivery: A Pregnant Mother's Guide to Down Syndrome in English and Spanish, the first book for families preparing for the birth of a baby with Down syndrome.
  4. Released Coping with Loss: Down Syndrome free online for families who have lost a baby or child with Down syndrome.
  5. Distributed materials to prenatal genetic counselors and maternal fetal medicine specialists nationwide and all obstetricians in Kentucky.

Even with all this progress in 2015, we still hear stories of families who didn't receive the support they needed at the moment of diagnosis, so there is still much work to do. Please consider making a donation today to help us make the world brighter in 2016!

Online donations by credit card are received by the University of Kentucky Office of Development, so the donation page takes you to the University of Kentucky with "Research: Down Syndrome Pregnancy Gift Fund" selected for the gift designation. All donations are tax-deductible and receive an acknowledgement letter, which also serves for tax purposes. To donate via check, please contact us.
