Are You Ready to STEP UP for Down Syndrome?

On Saturday, October 16th, we will host one of the largest celebrations for people with Down syndrome in the world!

Create a team for your teen and invite your family and friends to register or donate to support our vital mission and work. Whether your team is four, 40 or 400, you will definitely be feeling the love and energy from our community as we step up!

Want some ideas on how to make your team great? Visit our team success page to learn more. Still have questions? Contact us and we can walk you through the team creation process.

All families that have created their walk teams by Wednesday, July 21 at 12:00 Noon will be entered into a drawing to win a gift card to
Taste Buds Kitchen in Leawood, KS.  The $25 gift card is valid towards a cooking class, camp or party of your choosing.

We can't wait for you to join us in Stepping Up for Down Syndrome!

Please join us for this exciting Art Exhibit that is years in the making!

Just As I Am* invites us to view the world through the lens of someone living with Down syndrome. This project’s aim is to create awareness and a better understanding of Down syndrome through raw, authentic stories, intimate portraiture and short film series, as to change the way we see those with Down syndrome.

We are continuing into the second half of the summer with Independent Kitchen Skills and our virtual social group!

To provide flexibility through the summer, we will be offering our virtual skill group on Tuesday mornings from 10 - 11 am and Thursday afternoons from 4 - 5 pm.

We will continue providing our virtual social group through the summer, which will be hosted on Wednesday afternoons from 2 - 3 pm.

Waterway Fundraiser Adventures!

Last month, we collaborated with Waterway Carwash in hosting an event that allowed our self-advocates the opportunity to practice job skills in a natural setting in their community.

The teens that attended had a great time! From the event, Waterway donated $3,000 to us in support of our mission and the families we serve!!

Please join us in thanking them for their community partnership — and for the awesome experience they gave our self-advocates!
