We are so grateful for her leadership and the incredible work that she has done to support the Alliance and everyone affected by sarcoma. Rain or shine, Aimee has been there to lead the team through ten years of waves, trainings, and competitions. With her support and encouragement, the team has not only competed in countless races but also raised over $900,000 for the Alliance while doing it. 2020 will bring changes and new leadership to the team, but we'd like to take this opportunity to thank Aimee from the bottom of our hearts. We are full of gratitude for everything that she has done during her time as O2H Captain. Partnership with Wendy WalkWe are so pleased to announce that we have partnered with Wendy Walk! Wendy Walk is an organization founded by Landes siblings, whose mother Wendy was diagnosed with liposarcoma in 2008. Frustrated by how little research and treatment options were available, they started Wendy Walk to raise funds and awareness for sarcoma. Though their mother Wendy passed in 2013, the Landes siblings continue to fight for the advancement of sarcoma treatment and research. Wendy Walk funds treatment-focused sarcoma research projects around the world and host walks in Los Angeles, Miami, and New York. We're very excited about this new partnership and appreciate their support for the Sarcoma Alliance community.
