Electrify Your Fleet with Plug In BC
Plug In BC is an initiative co-chaired by the BC Ministry of Energy and Mines and BC Hydro to lay the groundwork for plug-in electric vehicles and related electric charging infrastructure in BC.

Gas Tax Agreement Outcomes Report
The Union of BC Municipalities (UBCM) 2009-2012 Gas Tax Outcomes Report describes environmental sustainability achievements as a result of federal Gas Tax funds invested in local government infrastructure projects across BC.
Outcomes show that Gas Tax funding from 2009-2012 include: over 79,000,000 kilowatt hours of clean energy generation per year; 379 km of new or improved paths and trails and 50 community energy retrofits to public buildings. Read more here.

New Program: LED Lights to Brighten B.C. Streets
Shared Services BC has introduced a new procurement program to support the purchase of energy efficient LED street lighting. B.C. Corporate Supply Arrangements (CSAs) for LED street light luminaires are now available for all eligible public sector organizations (including local governments) that need street lights.
