Heatwave To Hit: T/CCI Inventories are On-Hand for Hot Temperature Predictions and Compressor Demands

Summer 2016 is set to be the warmest year on record. The Weather Company's Professional Division and the global forecast by Met Office cite man-made climate change, distinctive water temperature patterns and El Niño as the reasons for the warm conditions. Well-above average temperatures are expected this summer across the US and Europe with intense heat and dry conditions extending the heat through the season. In anticipation of warm temperatures across the US and Europe, T/CCI is ready for the demands that will be put on your a/c compressors. We have implemented our “Ready To Respond” Inventory program. This program is designed to get product to the aftermarket faster. We have indexed inventory levels to streamline needs in the US and Europe so we can turn orders faster with a 24-48 hour response time.

Get to Know - Pat Wilkey

Describe your role with TCCI.

Being involved in various roles within the company allows me the opportunity to see the full breadth of the operation and contribute throughout the entire process. As part of the sales team and overseer of our Order Processing Department, I am able to work with customers to understand their needs and deliver customized solutions for them and those they serve. We value the relationships we build and the trust our customers place in us.

As part of our Global Inventory and Logistics team, I am involved with T/CCI’s global locations regarding inventory planning and management, forecasting, and overseas production operations. To help make this happen on a global scale, I interface with our Ningbo, China facility to communicate what is needed and guide the planning of production and shipping schedules for T/CCI’s operations. The goal is to always have the right product mix at any of our locations when customers need it.

What’s been your best experience working for T/CCI?
The best experience for me is working daily with a group of dedicated professionals within the various departments around the globe that have the same goal—to satisfy our customer’s needs with an expanding line of the highest quality products and service possible.

What opportunities do you see in the industry?
I believe there are several key industry opportunities for us in the areas of Global Logistics Planning/Strategy, Product Innovations/Improvements, and T/CCI’s Climatic Wind Tunnel.

As the challenges with logistics costs continue to rise, our team strives to identify and put into action strategies that can help mitigate some of the costs of shipping while decreasing lead time of making goods available to customers. This helps us exceed customer’s expectations for on-time delivery and order fill rates.

T/CCI’s Climatic Wind Tunnel is also an exciting addition to the T/CCI family of products that many companies have already taken advantage of. Where else in the Midwest could you go to recreate almost any environmental condition for testing? Extreme heat or cold with applied variables—we offer it all and at the industry’s most reasonable pricing.

How have your experiences/knowledge from past roles shaped your experience in your current role?
My role has always been as part of the sales team, but responsibilities have expanded over the years. Even in my career prior to T/CCI, I was always in a sales or project management role of some type. Those experiences combined with joining the company as a Sales Manager back in 1997 and having the honor of being around some of the best talent in the a/c industry for 19 years has been a blessing to me professionally. I owe much to those who so graciously gave (and still do) of their time and knowledge to help me grow professionally.

T/CCI Makes A Significant Investment in the European Market

T/CCI announced the purchase of a new facility located at Rahlau 52 in Hamburg, Germany. The move will be completed on June 24, 2016 and is part of several key global initiatives for the company. The new location will provide capacity expansion both for warehousing and customer care, increased operational efficiencies and acceleration of goods to market. In addition, the IT infrastructure will be optimized during the move and the integration into the global network of T/CCI will be furthered. “With this facility, equipment and resource investment we are making another big expansion in the European markets. Customers can expect enhanced inventory availability, reduced cycle times, and a focus on global communication to further optimize our fast, responsive service.” says Jörg Lehmann, Director, European Sales & Marketing.
