Each with over a century of service in the Town of Normal, Illinois State University and The Baby Fold continue to benefit students and clients within the town and far beyond.  While both have embraced changes throughout their history to continue to meet evolving needs, the supportive relationship shared by ISU and The Baby Fold remains a constant.  President and Mrs. Dietz shared a September afternoon with us taking the opportunity to learn more about The Baby Fold history and the services we provide today.

Dianne Schultz, President and CEO of The Baby Fold, presented Dane Mooney of Hammitt Junior-Senior High School the Bill Hammitt Meritorious Service Award!  This award is named for Bill Hammitt, former long-term Director of Finance and Operations at The Baby Fold, and is presented annually to an employee who:

• Has shown a long-term commitment to The Baby Fold or his or her profession
• Has made a significant contribution to the overall success of The Baby Fold in fulfilling its mission
• Is a role model or mentor to employees, clients, or students
• Demonstrates the spirit of the agency by living out the agency’s values

It was a beautiful Saturday in September for the Cummins Corporation annual golf outing fundraiser for The Baby Fold.  Mark Reynolds and Dennis Dewerff (above) were among our Cummins friends who enjoyed a round of golfing fun as they supported an organization near and dear to their hearts.  The group sold popular gift baskets and an abundance of raffle tickets to make this fundraiser a success for the fourth year.

The local branch of a creative marketing company has again donated a hefty amount of school supplies to Hammitt Elementary School at The Baby Fold!  The donation included everything from crayons and books to folders and book bags!  Karen Rousey, Vice President of Programs, greeted Rayna Kaufman and Joe Potente of Pii and accpeted this generous gift on behalf of the organization.  Thank you again to Progresive Impressions who has been a friend to The Baby Fold for many years!
