Today, nearly 12 months since the first case of COVID-19 was reported in the United States, there are two COVID-19 vaccines approved for use in the US – the Pfizer vaccine and the Moderna vaccine.

Now that the vaccines are here, you might have questions, particularly as a person living with lung cancer.

  • Should you get the vaccine?
  • How can you get it?
  • Of the two approved vaccines, is one better than the other?
  • Will it give you complete protection from COVID-19?
  • What if you’ve already had COVID-19 – should you get vaccinated anyway?

LUNGevity answers these questions and more in our new blog post: COVID-19 Vaccine and Lung Cancer: Top 10 Questions Answered.

The information in the blog post has been reviewed and endorsed by members of LUNGevity Foundation’s Scientific Advisory Board. Be sure to speak with your cancer physician or primary care provider for more information.

Our knowledge of COVID-19 remains continuously evolving.  Be sure to continue to check our COVID-19 and Lung Cancer section of the website for the latest information.
