Tasting Notes: 100% Riesling, Moselland Berkasteler shows plenty of juicy green apple, pear, and peach, with a lemon/lime flavour reminiscent of sherbet. There is a great balance of sweetness and acidity with a mineral note running through each element until the long finish trails off.

When it comes to this label, Moselland makes this wine, but what’s a Bernkasteler Kurfurstlay? ‘Bernkasteler’ refers to the wine being from the village of Bernkastel, located on Germany’s Mosel River. ‘Kurfurstlay’ is the name of the vineyard the grapes came from. “Riesling” is the easiest part of deciphering this label. Producer: Moselland began in 1968 when local winegrowers banded together to make their wine. As a Co-Op, the farmers are also the owners, so farmers pay close attention to their harvest in order to draw out the finest flavour from their grapes.
