The Royale - Issue 01
Happy New Year, folks! Can you believe it's 2015? It's officially the year of hover boards, flying cars, and Black and Decker Hydrators. Wait, a minute. You mean that stuff doesn't exist? We were duped!
Although the future we were promised hasn't quite panned out, Marty McFly taught us a valuable lesson about carving out our own place in history. In that spirit, we're proud to introduce the inaugural issue of The Royale—our monthly newsletter that gives you the tools to make, create, do, and build on the web. Our goal each month is to feature the best design and development tools to help focus your mind, inspire your thinking, and do your best work. It's a tall order, but we feel that together we can make the web a better place in 2015. And when we make the web a better place, we'll be one step closer to sweet, sweet hover boarding. Great Scott!

A NEW YEAR, A NEW START

We'll start our newsletter the way most people start their new year... with resolutions! But instead of making empty promises about eating better and working out (we've all done that before), let's resolve to update, improve, and optimize our web design and code. Here are a few articles that will help you whip your site into shape this year.

INTRODUCING GITDONE

Gitdone
In 2014, we started drifting away from traditional to-do apps (Basecamp, Trello, etc.) and started using GitHub to assign and keep track of tasks. GitHub is great, but we got frustrated with their standard workflow. We thought we could do better. So we built something that gave us the power and reliability of GitHub, with the look and feel of a beautiful to-do app. Say hello to Gitdone.
If you're already familiar with GitHub, you'll love Gitdone because it allows you to assign, comment, and keep track of tasks across multiple repositories. And here's the kicker—Gitdone lets you enter multiple tasks at once! By far our favorite and most useful feature.
It's still in beta, but we have some big plans for the coming year. We'd love for you to check it out and give us any feedback or advice you may have.
Thanks for reading, see you next month!
