During the course of the 2018 Kidscreen Summit, the Shaw Rocket Fund is proudly showcasing Canadian production companies and their programs. These companies have worked diligently to produce content for our kids, and we're here to spread the news!
Big Bad BooJudge Jodhi is a new digital series in development with CBC Kids, following a 12-year-old who sets up a mock court in her backyard 16 Hudson, a preschool animated series in production, is being delivered to TVO Kids, SRC Radio Canada, and Knowledge Kids later this year. It already has pre-sales in 12 countries Big Bad Boo Digital is producing six digital games for 16 Hudson for the TVO Kids website. They are also delivering part two of mini-series Lili & Lola, plus six iOS mobile games for language learning in Persian The Bravest Knight is in development with Hulu, featuring the first gay character in a children's TV series The company continues to service refugee children worldwide with curriculum programs of 1001 Nights through a partnership with UNICEF and Save The Children
Keyframe Animation- Keyframe Animation is currently working with Radical Sheep Productions on season 2 of Ollie: The Boy Who Became What He Ate, a series about a
boy who turns into the food he eats and goes on adventures to magical food lands
WestWind Pictures- The Art Show, a child-narrated live action series following kids as they experience the wonders of art in the real world, was featured in the Hollywood Reporter’s "Big on Shorts"
Distribution 360The Mystery Files (Apartment 11) was a finalist for the 2017 Japan Prize and has been sold in the United States and Israel Snapshots (Forte Entertainment) is nominated for an International Emmy - Kids' Non-Scripted. The format has been optioned in the UK and the finished program has sold in over 80 countries Splatalot (marblemedia) was sold to BYUtv, who is reversioning the series to include their own local hosts. This is the third sale of the series in the US, further expanding the brand’s audience
Little Engine Moving PicturesCutie Pugs and its companion interactive games premiere in late 2018 (TVOKids,
Knowledge Kids - English; mini TFO, SRC Radio-Canada - French). International acquisitions are to be announced at Kidscreen Canada Crew (26 ep), a preschool series, celebrated Canada’s 150th birthday with an interactive website with 14 games (TVOKids, Knowledge Kids). Celebrity appearances include Madame Sophie Trudeau, celebrity chef Susur Lee, Olympic kayaker Adam van Koeverden, and NHL legend Darryl Sittler Now You Know (78 ep), a science-based preschool series, debuted in 2015, featuring icons like Chris Hadfield, PK Subban and Keshia Chanté. It airs on TVO Kids (Canada), Knowledge Kids (Canada), Starz (US), and on Jim Jam in over 120 countries
ToonDraw Animation - The Montreal-based animation studio is increasing its capacity to more than 50 artists, and will soon be launching a new series in coproduction with Ireland
- Genius Genie (78 eps) is an animated series teaching preschoolers about life’s little lessons, and will air next April on Knowledge Network, Société Radio-Canada, Télé-Québec and TFO
- YaYa and Zouk season 2 is in production and will air on Société Radio-Canada and YOOPA in September. Season 1 is distributed by Distribution 360, has been sold in over 70 countries, and is now on Amazon Prime

WishfartWishfart has sold to CITV & Cartoon Network (UK), Cartoon Network (Africa), Discovery (Italy), and RTBF (Belgium) It was named a Cool New Show by Kidscreen
