BC’s Climate Leadership Plan Released

The Province of BC released the BC’s Climate Leadership Plan (CLP) on Friday, August 19. The CLP presents the next steps BC is taking to fight climate change. The plan contains 21 new strategic actions spanning the province’s transportation and industrial sectors, along with communities, the built environment and government operations. The Province will also be working with local governments to refresh the Climate Action Charter.

Revelstoke expands shuttlebus service to further its climate action goals

The City of Revelstoke partnered with local tourism-based businesses to provide a shuttle bus service between the city and resort. This collaborative approach enabled the City to improve traffic safety and reduce maintenance costs and to provide this popular transit service without spending any own-source revenue.

CEA-BCIT partnership delivers opportunities for Certification in Community Energy Management

Reduce your community emissions through an inter-disciplinary approach to community energy management! The Community Energy Association (CEA) and BC Institute of Technology (BCIT) partnered up to deliver six online courses that look at new ways of addressing growing demands for energy efficiency in buildings and transportation, renewable energy and greenhouse gas reductions.
