I have a series of different sewing machines set up with different threads so I can quickly shift from one to another - just like picking up a different paint brush or pencil. I'm very lucky to have the space & machines...
I'm currently focussed on translating sketchbook explorations into Textile pieces: drawings are from lost corners and spaces where we can lose ourselves in thought: maybe it's daydreaming, but it feels heavier than that.
The new studio is really coming together: I'll share when I'm ready! At the moment creating new work is the priority - I think I'm making up for some sort of lost time, whizzing away to get ready for a collection of exhibitions.
