In our last issue we asked you to rate your website with our website effectiveness scorecard. How did you score? Ready to learn more?
Today your website is at the heart of your marketing, because most people begin their search for what you offer online. We’ve touched on the importance of positioning and keywords, then building page content to support that positioning. What’s next?
Tool #3: A blog that educates and positions
A blog is a point-of-view. Blog posts help you reach different online searchers. While your website describes your products or services, your blog offers opinions, educates and answers questions. It can build credibility for your organization and position you as an expert. A blog also adds fresh content, which Google likes. Blog at least once a week for the best results.
Tool #4: A social media presence that connects
Social media is two-way (social!). It’s a personal connection with your brand, yet can be one of the most difficult channels to manage. Post content that’s relevant, interesting and sharable. Keep posts brief and frequent. Use visuals. And be sure you’ve got someone to follow-up on comments or questions.
Not sure if social media is right for you? We offer insight on our blog. And you can download our social media overview too.
