UK-based architects and designers are invited to join the Rogelio Salmona Fellowship in Colombia; the UK/Germany 2018 Affiliate Programme is looking for events planned by UK-based organisations or individuals; the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport launched their Culture is Digital report this week; on March 22 we will be live streaming Uncommon Ground, our one-day symposium exploring what it means to create socially engaged art today; and a choir of Chinese farmers has gone international for the first time, performing a set of hymns and show tunes at the Royal Festival Hall.

 
 

The British Pavilion at the Venice Biennale: Island

The British Council will present Island at the British Pavilion at the 16th International Architecture Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia.

This new piece of architecture will offer a generous space to reflect on many themes; including abandonment, reconstruction, sanctuary, Brexit, isolation, colonialism and climate change.

Hip Hop in Venezuela

Beautiful Differences

The UK/Korea 2017–18 season, launched in February 2017, will close this March with the Festival of Arts and Disability: Beautiful Differences. Running in parallel with the Paralympic Games in South Korea the festival will showcase a number of events focused on diversity and inclusion including Marc Brew and Bora Kim's new dance performance 공·空·Zero: Restriction, Body and Time and the world premiere of Good Morning Everybody choreographed by Eun-Me Ahn for Candoco Dance Company.
