The Richard Hughes Cookery School is coming to The Assembly House

Class dates announced October 2016. Cookery School opens January 2017

FESTIVE FUN & WINTER WARMERS

Bookings are now being taken for throughout the chilly season. As always, we will be serving our fantastic Festive Afternoon tea, seven days a week in our beautiful restaurant, Christmas party menus in our opulent private dining rooms and our nearly sold-out Christmas Day lunch and New Year's Eve Dinner Dance. 

We also have some majestic musical Afternoon Tea feasts planned for each Sunday in December and we will finish the season with our famous New Year's Day Buffet Brunch! View our full Christmas programme and menus here.

Please note: The Assembly House will be closed from Monday January 2 to Sunday January 8 while our staff enjoy a Hospitality Christmas (a week or two after the event!).

SUNDAY JAZZ SESSIONS WITH ALBERT COOPER

What a wonderful way to ease yourself into a new week, a relaxed evening in The Music Room enjoying our fantastic Early Supper menu followed by a spot of jazz and blues from local legend Albert Cooper and the Chris Cooper Trio. You can, of course, just pop along for the music itself from 7pm onwards and enjoy a cocktail or two into the night. Future dates are Sunday October 16 and Sunday November 18 (Link to events page).

NEW MOUTHWATERING MENUS

We have recently updated all of our menus from breakfast through to bedtime! We serve breakfast seven days a week from 7.30am, pop in for our beautiful baked eggs, stewed peppers, parsley, chorizo and chilli oil or a classic Eggs Benedict with delicious smoked salmon. Our tempting menu also includes American-style pancakes, Posh Cheese on Toast and, of course, the big one: a brilliant fry-up.

Over lunch you can choose from a traditional or a speciality sandwich, something savoury or something warm and hearty, finished off with a generous slice of cake.

We've launched a brand new High Tea (best enjoyed in front of our roaring fire) which includes a cosy selection of hot nursery treats alongside pastry chef Mark Mitson's stunning selection of cakes and pastries. Think sausage and onion pie, Scotch eggs and rarebit scones before cinnamon toast and crumpet fingers.

Lastly, our delicious new supper menu will soon be available until 8.30pm each and every night of the week!
