Earlier this year St Peter & St Paul Church, Uppingham in the Rutland Deanery were awarded their Eco Church Silver. This was a huge achievement especially as it was only a year on from them receiving their bronze award. Since her installation, Bishop Debbie has been visiting the Deaneries to see how she can bring God’s work to all corners of the Diocese. On 6 November Bishop Debbie spent time visiting parishes and schools across the Brixworth Deanery. William Street Community Garden based at All Saints Church, Kettering has been awarded silver in the Northamptonshire Churchyard Conservation Award Scheme 2024. Bishop Debbie visited Thomas Deacon Academy alongside Peterborough Citizens to shed light on the urgent housing and homelessness crisis affecting the city’s most vulnerable residents.
