NEW LOCATIONS HARPER'S CHELSEA 512 HARPER'S LOS ANGELES Harper’s is pleased to announce a major expansion in New York and Los Angeles. Building upon its existing presence in Chelsea, the gallery will open a 4000-square-foot flagship location at 512 West 22nd Street—a striking new construction that overlooks the High Line. StudioMDA, experts in contemporary gallery architecture, will design the new space. With two galleries on one of the premier blocks in Chelsea, Harper’s will provide multiple platforms for artists to grow and flourish, while signaling its commitment to New York, founder Harper Levine’s hometown. Programming will begin in early 2022 with an exhibition by Marcus Brutus. In concert with its New York expansion, Harper’s will open a significant outpost in Los Angeles at 8115 Melrose Avenue, across from the fabled ivy facade of the original Fred Segal. The gallery has a rich history of exhibiting Los Angeles-based artists, and the move west solidifies its embrace of the vibrant LA art scene. Harper’s Los Angeles opens this fall with a group exhibition featuring artists on its roster, as well as friends of the gallery. Harper’s East Hampton, itself newly expanded, and Harper’s Apartment on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, will continue to provide the exhibitions and experiences for which the gallery has become known. The Harper’s team is deeply grateful for the continued support of its collectors, and most of all its artists, without whom none of this would be possible.
