Kia ora and welcome to our first eNews of 2024.
We have returned feeling recharged for the challenges of the year ahead. As an organisation entrusted with holding research for and by the community, it is our responsibility to share the insights and perspectives that lead to a more informed, inclusive, and equitable Aotearoa. This year we will share that research with you in new and innovative ways!

A strong focus for us this year will be to provide greater support to researchers to build a strong and resilient community researcher network.

We also remain focused on creating and sharing content that honours and upholds Te Tiriti o Waitangi, so we are thrilled to be launching the third series of our He Kōrero podcasts "Conversations on Te Tiriti 2024 and Beyond".
We are once again proud to be supporting Te Tiriti-based Futures + Anti-racism. It’s a 10-day online event – and it is completely free!

Kaimahi profile - Raylyn Christian

Ko Te Aroha raua ko Moehau ōku maunga,
Ko Waihou tōku awa, Ko Ngāti Maru, rātou ko Huarere, ko Te Rarawa ōku iwi. Ko Ray tāku ingoa.
Kia ora, these last few months have been an intense time with the constitutional challenges presented by our current government. Particularly concerning our rights to exist as indigenous people for Māori, as agreed upon in Te Tiriti, the Fair Pay Act affecting our wages and the proposed threats to our environment.
My hope for 2024 is that we stick together to forge a sustainable and healthy future for Aotearoa.
