May – the most wonderful month of them all! Autumn is here and with it cold crisp evenings and wonderful warm days – where the sun is just begging you to sit awhile and absorb all that warm wonderful energy. So join us for some “you time” and recharge those tired bodies with some sun, relaxation and massage, and if May brings some showers curl up in front of the fire and enjoy a good book.

New addition to the iNsingizi family I know you are all used to my excitement when I spot a new addition to the iNsingizi family – cranes, bushbuck, guineafowl, zebra and the 10 wildebeest calves that were born this year but this is properly exciting!!! CONGRATULATIONS to Ryan and Debbie on the birth of Phillipa Evelyn.  We really couldn’t be more thrilled!

We have water! An odd start to a paragraph but until now the lodge has relied on a trusty tractor and friendly farmer to ensure we have a steady supply of water. Each day the tractor would head to the lodge and fill the tanks before heading back to the important task of farming, not anymore though as we have our own borehole! We hit a wonderful supply at just 60m and now we can use all the water we need without panicking that we will run out – the garden is loving the attention

Celebrate Mother's Day with us Mother’s Day is a day we all should celebrate and we have a number of ways to spoil those amazing woman in our lives! The lodge is hosting lunch on the 13th May – a 3 course lunch and a mini foot massage for mum – all for R100 per person. Bring your bikes, or walking shoes if you are feeling energetic or just come and relax by the fire and pool. The Spa is offering a10% discount on all spa packages booked for you and your mum. Wedding celebrations The lodge has been transformed on a regular basis this year with a number of wonderful wedding celebrations – Congratulations to Jinnie and Alex, Mike and Tiana, Maryke and John, Lara and Joao and most recently Meghan and Adam. It is always such a privilege to be a part of such a special celebration. Talking of weddings please pop by and see us at the Heritage Bridal Fair in Hillcrest on the 12/13 May 2012. We are really excited to be part of this awesome event. We will be in the Marriage Meander Marquee.

Events We have done a number of events at the local Toyota Test Track – Ali and her team have done an awesome job of ensuring everyone has great eats while they learn various skills (the last one was teaching truck drivers how to avoid roll overs) Nadia has been here at the lodge making sure the instructors are well looked after – breakfast ready by 6am!! and she is still smiling.  It has been really exciting to be involved in something so different from our normal day to day routine. Get out your takkies Our inaugural trail run was such a success last year that we have decided to do 3 this year so get out your takkies and start training. The first run will take place on the 24 June 2012 (see I have given you loads of warning) We are once again using ROAG for bookings so please sign up soon as we are limiting the numbers to ensure a great run (yes you can walk if your prefer!!!) for all. This really is one run you don’t want to miss.
