The Subscript | August 2019
Building Leaders Development Group (BLDG) Connects the Construction Industry

BLDG Karbach Event

When it comes to factors surrounding job satisfaction and overall wellbeing, work relationships matter. The more proactive you are in building relationships on the job — with colleagues, clients, mentors and managers — the better off you’ll be, both personally and professionally. Since March 2016, BLDG has offered opportunities to connect individuals under the age of 35 who are employed in the construction industry (GCs, subcontractors, architects and those who provide a product or service to construction companies).

So, if you are in the construction industry, are under the age of 35, and would like to share a tasty beverage with your peers, join BLDG at Karbach Brewing Co. on August 29!

Did You Know?

The history of the Texas government spans more than 181 years. The first congress of the Republic of Texas met in October 1836, in a large dogtrot house located in Columbia-on-the-Brazos (today’s West Columbia). After Texas achieved statehood in 1845, the legislature’s 20 senators and 66 representatives convened the first regular session, February 16 to May 13, 1846, in a single-story wooden structure that stood at Eighth and Colorado. The state’s first capitol building was completed in 1853, while the current Texas State Capitol opened in 1888.
