MEMS Industry Group Announces Finalists for “MEMS Elevator Pitch” Session
--ISKN, Panorama Synergy, Qeexo and US Volumetrics to Showcase Products, November 7, 2013 at MEMS Executive Congress

MEMS Industry Group® (MIG) today announced the finalists for its inaugural MEMS Elevator Pitch Session, a unique event that will give a select group of early-stage MEMS companies exposure to venture capital firms, seed investment firms, angel groups and other investors. MEMS Elevator Pitch Session will also give experienced entrepreneurs a closer look at upcoming companies in which to get involved.

Moderator Scott Livingston, chairman and CEO, Livingston Securities LLC, will moderate a panel representing the investment community. Tasked with reviewing and advising the finalists, panelists will include: Tammi Smorynski, director, Intel Capital; Elecia White, founder, Logical Elegance; and Matthew Zuck, partner, Guardian Investment Management.

Mr. Livingston’s featured presentation, “The JOBS Act, the Return of the Small IPO, and Changing the Way that Innovation is Financed on Wall Street,” will immediately precede MEMS Elevator Pitch Session.
 

MEMS Elevator Pitch finalists include:

CEA-Leti start-up ISKN will present iSketchnote, a smart iPad cover that integrates new digitizing technology with the convenience of an ordinary notebook.

Panorama Synergy will showcase an optical sensor for existing micro-cantilever technology, which enables biological and chemical sensing with unprecedented sensitivity.

Qeexo, a spin-off of Carnegie Mellon University, will demonstrate its FingerSense technology—an enhancement to touch interaction that allows screens to ‘know’ how the finger is being used for input: fingertip, knuckle or nail. FingerSense also supports a passive stylus with an eraser.

USVI is developing a next-generation MEMS called MEMS 2.0 (M2), a technology designed to jumpstart the Integrated Microsystems revolution.
