Landowners in the lower Colorado River basin may be eligible for conservation grants to help reduce soil erosion and increase native plant and animal diversity. Plan Ahead! Fourth of July boating tips

It’s not too early to prepare your boat if you might use it for watching fireworks on the water over the Fourth of July weekend. Check in advance to make sure your required lights are all working so you have time to make any necessary repairs. On the day of the fireworks, be patient and build in extra time to get to and from your desired viewing location because you will probably be leaving the lake at the same time as everyone else who wanted to stay and watch the fireworks! And last but not least, designate a driver -- they are just as important to have on the water as they are on the highway. Click here for more boating and water safety tips»
