TRNZ welcomes Fjet & The Kauri Museum No Images? Click here With Christmas creeping closer and closer we thought we would try and get one final update in before the silly season hits. A number of things have been happening lately and both Jason and Ross have done some serious mileage getting out and about visiting both our TRNZ clients and customers - including Jason spending a week attending Kiwi Link South America. This month we're excited to introduce two very different products to the TRNZ family, one from the top of the country and one from the bottom. Read on for this information plus more! * Welcome to Fiordland Jet - an amazing South Island Jet boating experience. * The Kauri Museum joins forces with TRNZ - This is a Northland must do. * New transport option servicing Nugget Point Hotel, Queenstown. * Bella Vista Motel & Apartments Christchurch upgrade is now complete. * Enjoy a sleep in with Jucy - Gem of the Sound. * Cave World Waitomo - It's a personal experience. If you're looking for an unbelievably fun, yet 100% professional and safe jet boat trip in the South Island then this is the trip you've been looking for. Fiordland Jet has purchased and re-branded the Luxmore Jet in September of this year. It’s been bought by Chris (a sheep & dairy farmer), Gerry (cray fisherman in doubtful sound) and Nathan (a toilet cleaner from a 9 bedroom B&B). This is a trip that will not disappoint! The Kauri Museum: Past, Present, Future Any trip north should include a visit to the award winning Kauri Museum, famous for its hospitality and the legacy left behind by the ancient kauri trees which once covered northern New Zealand. The heritage of these mighty giants is reflected through the industries that they supported and the crafts that they inspired, all set against the backdrop of a rapidly developing nation. Within the 4500 square metres of gallery space, you will find the following: • Interactive, period displays and life-like models • The world’s largest kauri slab – measuring 22.5 metres long • A rare collection of kapia (kauri gum), a Northland Taonga/ treasure • An exceptional gift store showcasing arts and crafts of the Kauri Coast In addition to preserving our past, the Museum has a role to play in conserving their future, collaborating to “Save our Forests” by raising public awareness to control the spread of the Kauri Dieback disease and promote forest ecology. ** The Kauri Museum has also just been awarded the Qualmark - Gold Sustainable Tourism Business Award ** For more information please contact Jason or Ross.
