Hi there, We've made the difficult decision to
shut down Safestacks effective January 31, 2016. Here's why... We built Safestacks because we needed it at Forge3. We had a growing list of sensitive client information that needed to be managed and couldn't find a suitable solution. So, after two years of development, we decided to offer it to the world on August 9, 2010 and made minor updates and improvements ever since. Safestacks was largely an internal tool that we happened to open to the public. So, while we do have businesses like yours actively using Safestacks around the world, we haven't dedicated the resources necessary to turn it into a standalone business. And, while Forge3 has doubled in size this year, we are still a small company. Simply put, we need to focus our attention on the core business going forward. Replacing Safestacks Fortunately, there are some amazing options available for securely managing and sharing sensitive information. These options didn't exist when we built Safestacks five+ years ago. Check out 1Password for Teams. 1Password has become one of the best apps for managing passwords (and more) on mobile devices. Leveraging that success, they recently announced 1Password for Teams. It looks and feels similar to Safestacks, but can do even more. For
example, it works beautifully across mobile devices and can auto-fill login forms using their native desktop apps and browser extensions. 1Password for Teams is still in beta, but feel free to give it a try here: https://teams.1password.com Another option worth considering is LastPass Enterprise. Regardless of your choice, both companies are dedicated to their products. It's their primary focus, which is increasingly important for security applications these days. Exporting your data We want to make transitioning away from Safestacks as easy as possible. So, Safestacks includes the ability to export your data. Unfortunately, there is no bulk export tool available, so this needs to be done per Collection. Here's a screenshot...
