Harper’s is pleased to announce Melrose, the inaugural group exhibition at its new Los Angeles space located at 8115 Melrose Avenue. The show brings together a survey of friends and represented artists of the gallery. Please join us today, October 1, 6–8pm, to celebrate this exciting new chapter in the gallery’s history.

“Our brilliant artists constantly inspire us to push the boundaries of what a gallery program can be,” said Harper Levine, founder and owner of Harper’s. “We are honored to continue our collaboration with this talented group, now on both coasts. Our hope is to contribute to the vital arts community in Los Angeles, and impart a bit of our New York sensibility to Melrose, an iconic cultural destination.”

With over 3000 square feet of exhibition space, this is the fifth location for the gallery and its first venture on the West Coast. Kimberly Brown, who previously served as Head of Sales at Simon Lee Gallery and Sales Executive and West Coast Representative at White Cube, has been named Director of Harper's Los Angeles. With nearly two decades of experience, Brown brings a unique and seasoned perspective to the team at Harper's.

Established in 2010, the original Harper’s at 87 Newtown Lane, East Hampton, remains a cultural hub of Long Island's East End, with its focus on fine art and rare books. Harper’s Apartment, on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, was launched as a contemporary art gallery in 2016. Harper’s Chelsea, at 534 West 22nd Street, opened in December 2020; Harper’s Chelsea 512, the gallery's new flagship location down the block from 534, will open to the public in early 2022.
