It's been a busy few weeks for Harrogate and Mumbler. The Tour de France, Yorkshire Show (taking place this week) and of course the Mumbler Awards!

The nominations at the mumblerawards.com 2014 are now up and running, so make sure that you take some time to nominate your favourite child friendly businesses.

As the holidays creep up on us the Harrogate Mumbler will be full of ideas to fill your summer, the latest jobs for mums, and plenty of offers and discounts. Make sure you stay up to date throughout the summer by visiting the website, harrogatemumbler.com

Nominate your favourite child friendly businesses on our new Mumbler Awards website. Taking place on 7 November, there are nine categories you can nominate in, including Childcarer and Party Provider, new for 2014.

If you are business who would like to be nominated for an award, you can download a poster from the website. If last year is anything to go by it's going to be a fab event, so get nominating! 

What's New?

Summer Fun

There is always loads to do in Harrogate and the surrounding area during the summer. The website will have up to do date activities, but here are a few which we thought you might like.

  • Stockeld ParkThe Summer Adventure is open from 19 July until1 September. Enjoy fabulous family days out this Summer with active adventure zones within Stockeld Park. Activities include outdoor roller rink, maze, go carts, climb and play in the Enchanted Forest as well as indoor play, games and crafts and activities. 
  • Little Gym -  this summer The Little Gym will be running six weeks of classes and camps. Each week has a different theme. 
  • Young at Artthe new Summer Camp takes place at Bankfield Pre-Pre School, there are activities to suit children aged 2 to 9 years old. 
  • Summer Enjoy-A-Ball CampTaking place at Ashville Pre-Prep School, this summer camp is aimed at children aged 3 1/2 to 9 years old. Children will be rotated around playing sports, active games and arts & crafts. 
  • Harrogate School of SwimmingIntensive Swimming Courses are being held on 28 July - 1 August and 26 - 29 August at Ashville Sports College. 
  • The Academy - Join the Academy for a whole host of activities planned for each week of the holidays. Their Mega Summer Camps will make sure your children are entertained all summer! 
  • Harlow Carr - Take on the Great Garden Quest, befriend the Dragon and learn lots of exciting new skills along the way.
  • Netball Summer Day Camps - Taking place at Knaresborough St John's C of E Primary School aimed at 9 - 11 year olds, places are limited. 
  • Stir Crazy Kids Summer Cooking Workshops - days of foodie fun designed to inspire children to cook and enjoy fantastic food! 
  • Chatsworth School of Dance - Dance Summer School for 4 - 6 year olds, enjoy a bit of everything from tap dancing to modern jazz, ballet to musical theatre. 28 - 29 July.

The shop area already includes your ever-popular nearly new classified ads, and the "Crafty Mums"  page which details the amazing talents of our mumbler mums.

The Favourite Retailers page is a handpicked selection of our favourite children's retailers both in Harrogate and on-line. We don't feature just anyone on here, these are products and businesses that really impress us and who we want to shout about.

First on the scene are local shop "The Little Star Co" on-line retailers "Freckled Frog" and "Mama Natural" All three sell beautiful products and come highly recommended by Harrogate Mumbler.
