Professor Payne to be Honored with Campbell Teaching Award
For MSU Law Professor Kathleen Payne, ’77, the personal and professional blended several times during her career. The first time was when the late Professor Donald Campbell selected Kathy for a summer Marx Scholarship and assigned her to clerk for Wayne County Judge Blair Moody Jr., whom she followed to the Michigan Supreme Court after graduation.

Professor Gary Gulliver Retires
Professor Gulliver has retired after 10 years of teaching Research, Writing & Advocacy
and Legislative Drafting. He shared with students his deep understanding of the legislative process, informed by his work with the Michigan Legislature prior to joining MSU Law.
"He was our go-to guy when it came to understanding legislation and its impact," Dean Joan W. Howarth said. "Most people didn't know he is really very funny with a great sense of humor."
